Dry body balm Neokarypazym-400 is a complex of proteolytic enzymes of vegetable origin, derived from lactic juice of the melon tree (Papaya, Carica Papaya). The active components of the product are enzymes: papain, chemopapain A, chemopapain B, peptidase A and B, mucolytic enzyme lysozyme. Thanks to the proteolytic enzymes, Neokarypazym-400 contributes to the reduction of inflammatory processes in the intervertebral discs, reduces pressure on nerve endings and reduces pain, promotes the regeneration of intervertebral discs, improves microcirculation and resorption of scar tissue.

Neokarypazym-400 is recommended for use in osteochondrosis of the spine, including various forms of hernias and protrusions of intervertebral discs and discogenic radiculitis, hernias of Shmorl, posttraumatic flexural contractions of fingers, colloidal scars of different origin, shoulder blade periarthritis.

Functional properties of dry balm Neokarypazym-400 are due to the activity of proteolytic enzymes contained in papaya juice: papain, chemopapain A and B, peptidase papaya A and B, lysozyna papaya. When penetration of enzymes into the tissue, they accumulate in the damaged sections of the intervertebral discs and exert a local selective effect on the connective tissue, including on the tissue of herniated bulging. As a result of the hydrolysis of the proteins that are part of the hernia protrusion, there is a decrease in the volume of the hernia, which causes the positive dynamics of pathological symptoms. Under the influence of proteolytic enzymes, collagen synthesis happens  and scarring of the mesh-fibrous part of the disc increases, and stimulation of the biosynthesis of chondroitin sulfates by part of the disk cells leads to an increase in its elasticity. In addition to proteolytic activity, the enzymes included in the Neokarypazym-400 Balsam cause a pronounced anti-edema and anti-inflammatory effect, improve blood circulation, stimulate phagocytosis, suppress the activity of hyaluronidase and increase tissue regeneration.
